POSITION SUMMARY:

An Office Leader or General Manager is the trusted manager of operations for an office that also directs and coordinates its activities, and aids the Executive Committee of the Firm in formulating and administering organization policies by performing the primary duties below personally and through subordinate managers. The position will work for, and closely with, a General Manager and/or the Regional Manager. Once an office reaches a critical mass of employees to achieve independence and is routinely profitable, an Office Lead can be considered for promotion to General Manager, at the approval of the firmís BOD. The position requires outstanding leadership, solid technical and interpersonal skills, and frequent interaction with a diverse group of both public and private sector external clients and visitors, as well as internal rapport throughout all levels of the organization. The role requires independent day-to-day staff management, with an even temperament.

Regular local/regional travel is expected with this position, with occasional overnight travel within or outside region

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED: Professional Engineer or similar, desired

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in an office setting.  Work requires frequent and prolonged telephone, computer and vehicular use.  May occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
